Jennifer is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a mom! As a registered dietitian Jennifer has many years of experience as a pediatric dietitian and educator. She has worked with infants and children with Diabetes and Cystic Fibrosis, as well as ex-premature infants as they transition from hospital to home. She has worked closely with young children and families to help them get the best out of what they eat and is an expert in the field of nutrition for growth and development. Jennifer is the past Chair of the Pediatric Nutrition Network through Dietitians of Canada. “Jennifer has worked closely with young children and families to help them get the best out of what they eat and is an expert in the field of nutrition for growth and development.”She holds her Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph, completed her practical training at Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation, and holds a Master of Education from the University of Toronto. She is a member of Dietitians of Canada and the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
As a mother of 2 young children herself Jennifer can empathize with new parents and the challenges they face in feeding their children. Advice is conflicting and as a new parent you want the best for your children. Jennifer gets it! She not only has the knowledge and expertise but lives it on a daily basis. Jennifer’s own group of “new mom” friend’s inspired her to start Beansprout Nutrition and bring her knowledge and expertise to other new moms in the area.
Jennifer’s aim is to bring the most credible nutrition information to new moms, caregivers, and families to help them make the best choices they can for their children. She believes that a healthy start is essential and feels that all families need to establish their own nutrition philosophy to guide them in the choices they make. As the founder of Beansprout Nutrition Jennifer aims to bring her passion to the Halton region and guide you through making the best choices for you and your little ones.
